Welcome
to the Kinard House, a
National Historical Registry designated house. Built in
1885 during the
Victorian Era by Henry Jefferson Kinard, a local businessman and farmer,
the house is located in “Ninety
Six”, a pre-revolutionary war backcountry settlement in South
Carolina. The house was built with lumber from nearby forests and
features heart pine floors as well as decorative fireplaces, French
doors, 2 foyers, and a soaring staircase, as all original features of
the house.
Now the
Breabois family is sharing “The Kinard House” with you as a bed and
breakfast. Antiques and collectibles fill this warm and inviting home,
which has been lovingly renovated.
Enjoy local
attractions such as the historical “Star
Fort” with its one-mile walking tour, and beautiful
Lake Greenwood for water skiing, boating, and fishing. Tour local
Park
Seed’s botanical gardens and visit neighboring historical
Abbeville.
Accommodations include rooms with private baths, inviting porches, and
relaxing continental breakfasts. A non-smoking environment.
